Create New Trigger
1 Access the functionality. For more information, see Access Trigger.
2 You have the following options:
• On the Trigger pane, click New Trigger.
• On the Previous Triggers page, click the New Trigger button.
3 On the New Trigger page, select the uploaded file you need and click the New Trigger link. For more information on uploading file, see Customer File Upload.
4 On the Select Trigger Package page, select the package (the predefined set of output fields) to be applied to your Trigger.
Trigger price includes the trigger package cost, price of each triggered element and price of the additional output fields.
Custom package contains a set of default order output fields available for removing if necessary.
5 Click Continue.
The Select Trigger Options page opens, displaying Trigger Elements and Trigger Element Options.
The following table contains information on elements and options.
Trigger Information | Description |
Trigger Elements | Trigger Elements are broad categories of data that are triggered within a package. Example Trigger Element: Credit Card Indicator When using a Custom package, Trigger Elements can be deselected and excluded from the package. |
Trigger Element Options | Trigger Options are smaller values that make up a Trigger Element. Users can trigger all values within an Element, or manually select specific values to trigger. Example Trigger Options: Credit Card Indicator > Bank Card Holder, Gas/Dept./Retail Card Holder, T/A Card Holder, Credit Card Buyer |
6 (Optional for the Custom package only) To remove the trigger element from the package, clear the check-box for it.
7 Do one of the following:
• To trigger all values within the selection, select the corresponding option.
• To trigger specific values within the selection, select the corresponding option, and select the trigger options you want.
8 Click Continue.
9 On the Create Trigger Order page, specify the following information:

Trigger Period |
Specify how long your trigger will last. In the Start text box, enter the start date in mm/dd/yyyy format, or use the calendar. By default, the current date is displayed. Then do one of the following: • Select the End By option and enter the end date in mm/dd/yyyy format, or use the calendar. If you leave the text box empty, the trigger will last until it is deactivated. • Select the End After option and enter the number of occurrences after which your trigger will end. |
List Update Trigger Frequency |
Specify the number of list updates to take place between your trigger orders. |
Trigger Run Payment Type |
If you chose automatic order fulfillment, your Trigger order will be automatically processed and billed, and the updated records will be available on the Alesco Data interface.
If you chose mediated order fulfillment, you must approve payment for the order before your order is processed and available. |
Pricing Scheme |
Select the pricing scheme from the list if available. |
Special Offer Coupon |
Enter the code in the corresponding text box if you have a Special Offer Coupon. |
10 In the Email Address section, review and edit, if necessary, the email address to which the notifications and confirmation emails are sent.
11 Review the following information:
• Media Output. To edit the order output layout, click Add Fields.
• Billing Address. It is impossible to edit your billing information when placing an order.
If you are authorized to do it, you can edit the default billing information assigned to your account in your Account Preferences.
12 Keep the default payment method for your subscription, or change it by clicking the Change button in the Payment Method section.
13 Read and accept the License Agreement.
14 If all information is correct, click Submit.
Your Trigger processing has started. You will receive an email notification as soon as your Trigger is ready.
